The day was 19th of August, 2018. Eminent guests, guardians, and students turned out in full force to be an inherent part of the Annual prize distribution celebration of Sri Sarada Math, Rasik Bhita, Siksha-o-Sanskriti Peetha at Mohit Maitra Mancha, Paikpara.
Chanting of Shanti Mantras by the students of Rasik Bhita marked the beginning of the programme. It was followed by the song Vande Mataram.
After the welcome address, the annual report of Rasik Bhita for the year 2017-18 was presented using the audio-visual presentation. Most Revered Pravrajika Amalaprana Mataji, General Secretary, Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission and Sri Pinaki Chandra Ghose, Member, National Human Rights’ Commission and Former Justice Supreme Court of India, respectively the President and the Chief Guest for the evening, were then welcomed to the stage. Most Revered Pravrajika Amalaprana Mataji released the new issue of the annual magazine of the institute ‘Rasik Bhita Barta- Satyameva Jayate’.
Prizes were awarded to nearly 55 students of Rasik Bhita for their excellence in performance in Computer and English courses
The first session was followed by the cultural programme, beginning with one of our ex-student Arunima Moitra’s recitation of a poem by Rabindranath Tagore.
The main attraction of the evening was a play, ‘Utsaver Kathakatha’ on the significance of festivals of India like Janmashtami, Saraswati Puja, Durga Puja, Dol Purnima etc as explained in Sister Nivedita’s writings.
The day culminated with the National Anthem being sung by all present at the function.
