The programme concluded with a play “Twamasi Niranjanah” depicting the life of Queen Madalasa, a profound character from the Markandeya Purana. This queen mother so sincerely desired that all her children should attain freedom in this very life that while rocking their cradle she sang to them, ‘Twamasi Niranjanah’-thou are the stainless one, the pure, sinless, the mighty one.Guided by their mother three of her sons renounced the world and became sannyasis whereas the fourth one became king but ultimately he too renounced the world and became a sannyasi. Swami Vivekananda in his Madras lecture had praised Queen Madalasa and wanted that everyone should raise their children like her telling them that they were the pure, stainless one. The play was very much appreciated by the audience.
