Sri Sarada Math-Rasik Bhita is providing monthly pecuniary help (starting from October 2020) to 15 needy students who are facing financial crisis due the pandemic. Educational help for monthly Data Recharge (starting from November 2020) is also given to 13 students of Sri Sarada Math-Rasik Bhita and 11 students of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Girls’ School, Baghbazar, to enable them to attend the online classes. 3 old PCs were given free to students at Dakshineswar and Kumrogori, Hooghly to continue online training.
The Department of Self Help Group and Self Employee of the Government of West Bengal has provided travel and tiffin allowance to economically challenged students. Meritorious needy students receive stipends from Sri Sarada Math, the Bengali Cultural Society, USA, the Sheela Kanoria Foundation, and the Anant Merit Scholarship.
Every year, a week before Durga puja, students from economically challenged homes are worshipped with garlands, and presented with new clothes. The event ends with the distribution of lunch packets among the students, teachers and staff. During winter, blankets are distributed to underprivileged students.
Allowance for travelling and meals is also provided to some needy students of the institute. In order to cater to the nutritional needs of the underprivileged students, milk is distributed regularly between the classes.
