The pilot batch of Vivek Drishti – Employability Training for Visually Impaired Girls began on 2nd January 2025 successfully concluded on 8th July 2025. Among 9 students, 6 students with B.A degree completed the Foundation course of 6 months and 3 class X/XII pass students completed the Fundamental Courses of 2 momths. Mr. Shreyas Desai, General Manager, Tata Sons, handed over the certificates to the students in the closing ceremony.

Through mobility sessions, the girls not only learned to travel by public transport independently, but also visited banks, medicine shops, markets, and malls, managing transactions and handling money on their own.
Among them two trainees secured employment opportunities – one joining a telecalling company as an intern and another as an intern at Rasik Bhita – marking the first professional steps from this initiative.
The completion of the pilot confirms that with the right support, visually impaired girls can break barriers and step confidently into the world of work and independence.
