The pilot batch of Vivek Drishti – Employability Training for Visually Impaired Girls began on 2nd January 2025 successfully concluded on 8th July 2025 with six students certified.
Over a period of six months, the participants were trained in:
Through mobility sessions, the girls not only learned to travel by public transport independently, but also visited banks, medicine shops, markets, and malls, managing transactions and handling money on their own.
One trainee has been appointed as an intern at Rasik Bhita, marking the first professional step from this initiative.
The completion of the pilot confirms that with the right support, visually impaired girls can break barriers and step confidently into the world of work and independence.
